"My overarching goal is to make the California Department of Insurance the strongest consumer protection agency in the nation. Bar none. We will set the standard for other consumer protection agencies. I am determined to define my tenure as Insurance Commissioner by a single word: action."
—Dave Jones, Insurance Commissioner, State of California
WELCOME ADDRESS: George Gascón, San Francisco District Attorney
HONORARY CHAIR: Philip C. Marshall, elder justice advocate and grandson of Brooke Astor

"My grandmother—philanthropist and ‘Grand Dame’ of New York, Brooke Astor—would never want to be known as America’s most famous case of elder abuse. Nor did she, while in the throes of dementia, choose to be victimized —deprived, manipulated and robbed—all as part of a calculated ‘scheme to defraud.’ Yet, the sad circumstances surrounding my grandmother have informed a timely and timeless cause that may be her greatest and most lasting legacy."
—Philip C. Marshall, elder justice advocate and grandson of Brooke Astor, Honorary Chair
"This year’s 8th Annual Call to Action Conference promises to be our most dynamic event ever! Join us for a series of lively conversations with the country’s most renowned Elder Justice Advocates. Joining us will be representatives from the financial, legal, law enforcement, social service and elder justice communities. You won’t want to miss this!"
